# Log and engine monitors data links in description # Howdy all! I've owned this Baron for 4.5 years and it has treated me great. I'm only selling because life has gotten busy to the point of being unable to justify aircraft ownership anymore. It is just now coming out of an extensive annual performed at Ozark Aircraft Maintenance which is a Beechcraft certified repair shop located in Cape Girardeau, MO. Rest assured all the i's have been dotted and t's have been crossed. Log entries for that will be added soon. I know the high time engines might give you pause, they did for me as well when I purchased it. However, both engines received "bottom overhauls" apx 1100 hours ago due to a prop strike and then a couple years later a "top overhaul" was completed on both engines putting the cylinders at about 900 hours old. In my "non expert" opinion, they behave much more like mid time engines as opposed to the "official" age. In the 230 hours I've personally put on the aircraft I've found they fly clean and cool. I typically operate LOP at 20gph total and about 170kts with nice low CHTs. Occasionally I'll push it up to ROP and get 185kts at 26gph. All this while using about 1 qt of oil per 8-10 hours. The plane does have de ice boots and wet props and windshield for protection from inadvertent ice. However, it is NOT FIKI certified due to the lack of protection inside of the engine nacelle. The boots do show their age with plenty of patches but I reseal them each year and they operate as advertised. So it does fly well and you could very well get many more hours out of the engines. But, you will inevitably have some expensive overhauls to come. The only silver lining I'd offer with that fact is that you'll get to decide who does it, what you want to get and most importantly ensure that the all important break in is done well. I have upgraded the autopilot to the gold standard for and you wont be disappointed in the GFC 600s performance. It definitely gives you the feel of flying a fancy big boy airplane.
