IFD440 Navigator & DFC90 Autopilot - CAPS Parachute & Rocket Replaced December 2025 N156KT pairs the comfort of the Cirrus G2 with significant recent investment in the cockpit and the parachute system. In December 2025, an Avidyne IFD440 touchscreen WAAS GPS/NAV/COM and a DFC90 digital autopilot with flight director were installed. The DFC90 adds envelope protection and a straight-and-level mode, and together with the Garmin GNS430W the panel carries dual WAAS navigators. The 10-year CAPS service was also completed in December 2025, with the rocket and parachute assemblies replaced and the next repack due December 2035. The Avidyne Entegra EX5000 glass cockpit also includes Garmin GTX345 ADS-B In/Out, SkyWatch traffic, terrain awareness, and integrated engine and fuel monitoring. Power comes from a factory-rebuilt Continental IO-360-ES16B, installed April 2014, paired with an MT three-blade composite propeller installed September 2020. Finished in white with Bahama Blue accents over a Sand & Onyx leather interior, N156KT also includes Rosen sun visors, JetShades (added 2025) and a Bruce's custom cover. Embark transition training is included with the purchase of N156KT. Embark is provided entirely by Cirrus Aircraft and is subject to Cirrus Aircraft's policies and terms. |
